Yoga is a popular activity among tourists in Lobitos, Peru. We joined Lobitos Yoga to make yoga classes accessible to local kids with a special focus on engaging the girls who generally like a space to freely express themselves. The girls worked in groups to devise their own stories about nature with animal characters found in the sea. As part of their stories, the young women acted our the tales through yoga poses. The session closed with a meditation prompting the girls to imagine a special safe and beautiful place unique to them where they could always visit just by breathing deeply.
